When building a workflow, you need computing power behind the scenes to handle the different tasks. This is where workers come in, as they handle every workflow task. Read Flavius Dinu’s post to find out more about public and private workers, their benefits, and how Spacelift features are leveraging them.
Untested Ansible playbooks can cause significant issues, so quick debugging is crucial in production. Read Sumeet Ninawe’s post to discover various debugging techniques in Ansible with practical examples, CLI commands, relevant environment variables, and steps to follow.
AI tools can significantly enhance your productivity. ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot are two you may encounter frequently when generating code or building applications. Read Divine Odazie’s post to learn the differences between GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT, how they work, their features, and the pros and cons of using them.

OpenTofu Day — a day dedicated to the IaC community
“I believe that 2025 will be the year of OpenTofu.” This is a key prediction from Wojciech Barczynski, Spacelift’s VP of Engineering, in an interview with Swapnil Bhartiya for TFIR’s popular Predictions video series. Watch the interview to discover the rest of Wojciech’s predictions — and get a sneak peek at what Spacelift is focusing on this year.
You can now integrate Spacelift with ServiceNow for convenient self-service. This feature ties Spacelift Blueprints to Service Catalog Items so that developers can use familiar products and processes to easily self-serve infrastructure. Blueprints are defined by your DevOps/Platform teams, so you can move fast and remain in control, confident all your required control mechanisms are in place. Create your ServiceNow integrations using a new option in your Spacelift account called ServiceNow. Learn more here.
We’ve made it easy to generate Terraform code for your Spacelift stacks, streamlining your IaC process adoption. Simply navigate to the stack for which you want to generate Terraform code, click the three dots in the top right corner, and select the "As Terraform code" option. This will list the stack settings, lifecycle hooks, environment variables, and attached contexts. Copy the code to your clipboard using the "Copy" button, and then integrate it into your Terraform project.
This feature is available on all plans. Find out more here.
Other recent Spacelift releases include notification deduplication and a shareable Blueprints link. See our documentation for more information.
